Music I listen to

Ah, where would I be without my music? I love all sorts, but here's a brief synopsis:
Fireproof Match
Malcolm Middleton
Bloc Party
GoldenSilvers
Maximo Park
Florence and The Machine
Billy Talent
Biffy Clyro
Noah and the Whale
Linkim Park
Elgar
Jack Penate
Friendly Fires
Ludovico Einaudi
Boykillboy
Franz Ferdinand
Foals
Glasvegas
We Are Scientists
Cage the Elephant

I think this list is too long now!

Books I love

I read constantly, and quickly, so I can be quite prolific if I'm allowed to sit and read
Kazuo Ishiguro - "Never Let Me Go" and "The Remains of the Day"
Lionel Shriver - "We Need To Talk About Kevin" and "The Post-Birthday World"
Carlos Ruiz Zafon - "The Shadow of the Wind"
Jon McGregor - "If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things"
F. Scott Fitzgerald - "The Great Gatsby"
Margaret Atwood - "Cats Eye" and "The Penelopiad"
David Guterson - "Snow Falling on Cedars"
Michel Faber - "The Crimson Petal and the White" and "The Apple"
Ali Smith - "Hotel World" and "The Accidental"
James Joyce - "Ulysses"
Vladimir Nabokov - "Lolita"
J.D. Salinger - "A Perfect Day for Bananafish" in "For Esme - With Love and Squalor"
George Eliot - "Middlemarch"
Everything by Jane Austen
Joanne Harris - "The Lollipop Shoes" and "Holy Fools"
Gregory Maguire - "Mirror Mirror" and "Confessions of An Ugly Stepsister"

Again, this is getting obscenely long!

TV shows I watch

I don't watch much TV, but this is the stuff I like:

Firefly (amazing programme, why they cancelled it is beyond me)
Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister
Blackadder
Garrow's Law
Spooks
Doctor Who

Bizarre, eh?

Interesting facts about me

Well, not sure what to put here, but here goes!
I'm a 21year old single female living in Scotland (finally had my birthday!). While I'm not actively looking for a family right now, I do think it is wise to learn more about polygamy and its lifestyle before getting married - thought I should make this clear, as I've noticed some girls seem to post once looking for a family and then disappear, leaving everyone disappointed! After I joined I disappeared for a while, but this was due to serious ill-health and I hope this doesn't happen again.
I'm currently a student and unfortunately my course doesn't give summer holidays! Still, seems petty to complain.

This is supposed to be interesting things, so copying from another post, here are 15things about me:
1. I think I'm the only female in the Western world to be trying to gain weight.
2. The shade of my eyes changes depending on my mood - bright blue if happy, dark blue if angry, and sky blue if I've been crying.
3. I'm allergic to pears
4. I have hypermobility syndrome and as such am abnormally bendy
5. I'm the only person in the UK able to use a semi-colon, and as a result I have no friends ;)
6. I have 153 first and second cousins
7. I spent the first 7 years of my life on a sheep farm
8. I love the rain
9. My favourite colour changes daily - currently it's indigo
10. I sew, cross-stitch, quilt and knit
11. I love frogs
12. I swam in the Forth on Hogmanay
13. I have so many nicknames I tend to respond to anything shouted in my general direction!
14. I can swim 50miles a day, but die a death if forced to run so much as half a mile
15. My favourite book is "Never Let Me Go" by Kazuo Ishiguro, and I cry every time I read the last page.

I think this is rather enough, and if you made it this far, congratulations are in order!
